Veterinarian and Practice Owner

Born and raised in Oakville, Mac Animal Clinic is a life long dream come true for Dr. Mac. After graduating from the Bristol Vet School in the UK in 2014, Dr. Mac worked in a 24 hour small animal hospital in rural Suffolk before returning home to Oakville with her Border Terrier “Monkey” and her rescue tabby cat “Matilda”. Since returning home, she has practiced in the Oakville community working with various patients and their families. Her family has recently grown to include her Shepherd cross “Maple”, her husband’s Pyranees cross “Loki” and her toy Morkie “Millie”. Dr. Mac is a very proud pet parent, caring for animals is not only her career but an important part of her family life.

Dr. Mac has a special interest in veterinary dermatology, having grown up with eczema and allergies herself she empathizes with these patients. She strives to not only provide relief for her patients but to be a resource and support for their families.

Dr. Mac is committed to providing compassionate care that prioritizes the emotional well-being of her patients. These values built the foundation of Mac Animal Clinic, making the practice Oakville’s first Fear Free Certified Veterinary Clinic. Learn more about the Fear Free difference.

Dr. Mac is also a Senior Dog Certified Veterinarian, a certification that equips veterinarians with advanced training in canine geroscience and best practices for senior dog care. This relatively new program provides practitioners access to the latest research and therapeutic approaches tailored specifically for senior dogs. As all of her personal dogs are now entering their senior years, this area holds a special place in her heart. She is deeply committed to helping senior patients live their best lives—through thoughtful preventative care, pain management, enrichment, and tailored wellness plans. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Mac is an avid equestrian and eventer. She spends much of her free time in her happy place at the barn with her horse, Leia, and her pony, Chester. When she’s not at the clinic or at the barn, you’ll often find her walking her dogs, lifting weights at the gym, or bouldering with her husband.

Dr. Mac’s philosophy is simple: she treats every pet as if they were her own, a value that permeates the practice. With her commitment to preventative medicine and client education, she strives to deliver the highest standard of veterinary care, emphasizing long-term solutions over quick fixes.
